Lavender Joy Weddings

August 25, 2011

I had the absolute joy (pun intended!) of working with Stefanie Miles of Lavender Joy Weddings this past spring. She recently just launched her new beautiful website, so I thought I’d share some of the details of her beautiful logo and business cards. The logo was kept simple, but has character through the subtle imperfections in the letters through it’s hand rendered feel. The icon of a fresh lavender bouquet ties directly into the name, and patterns depict lavender buds and abstracted view of a field. Overall the brand is simple in the best of ways, but fresh through it’s colors and modern approach to vintage style.

The business cards are my absolute favorite. We decided to use a seed packet envelope for her cards, to which we did a two color letterpress print with the navy and purple inks. By using an envelope, Stefanie can add a layer of depth to her cards, filling them with treats for her clients such as fresh lavender, making the brand come to life not only by sight and touch, but smell!

Congratulations Stefanie! I cannot wait to see what beautiful things you will do for your lucky brides. To check out her website, click here.

Jazmin & Charles

August 20, 2011

This past spring, I had the pleasure of working with Jazmin and Charles for their July 9th wedding. Jazmin is a teacher, and Charles is a welder, and that is exactly what they wanted to bring to life for their invitations as a lead in to the wedding. Hand rendered silhouettes and illustrations of items that reflect their passions, an apple, books and ruler for her, and welding equipment for him. Beautiful grey envelopes with charcoal grey calligraphy complimented the yellow and grey palette. The wedding itself featured a photo booth with a chalkboard backdrop and Charles’ welding equipment as props! It was a wonderful marriage of their passions… and we wish them all the best in their marriage!
